This is nice, my brother lives just about at the park, 30 miles or so. I AM GOING TO GO DO SOME HIKING THERE.

A classic view of the Superstitions! Nicely captured.

Al -this image appears heavy in the blue-green color range with minimal red-yellow. Is this intended, a camera setting, post processing or are my eyes going bad?

Now here's a view I'm familiar with! Beautifully composed and executed, Al. Great photo!

    Russ - thanks

Bruce - contact me. I'll give you the beta on this area.

Paul - thanks. I had a subconscious inkling of the same thing but I really hadn't quite identified what was bothering me. This whole photo shoot with this new camera was a little underexposed and shifted to the blue-green. I was blaming it on the lighting at this time of day, but I may need to check the presets and defaults in this new camera. In anticipation of a May 2009 rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, I upgraded from my Pentax Optio W20(waterproof) to a Pentax Optio W60(waterproof). I've been using the W60 to get familiar with it. I think I need to check some of the presets & defaults for saturation and color. I want strong red-yellow to capture the Grand Canyon.

Jack - thanks. I moved a picnic table at LDSP and stood on it for this shot to change the angle a little.

Al - You're rafting the Colorado in May!? OMG, I am sooo envious! I did a 10-day raft trip through the Grand Canyon eons ago as a teenager. It was beyond awesome! I've been waiting my whole life to do it again. Someday...

Beautiful shot; I love the clouds! Also, Siphon Draw is one of my favorite hikes. I've gotta go on it again sometime.

Chris - this is near the Goldfield Ghost town and the Elvis Presley Chapel at the Lost Dutchman Museum. Great hiking out here if you have time. No Badgers anywhere near here. :)
