helicopter bee

So, the bumblebee is apparently not aerodynamically able to fly - but someone forgot to inform the bee! Actually, at the end of each wing movement, the angle of the wing changes so it has uplift on both the forward and the back flap, or so I've been told. Anyway, lucky capture on this one, loads of my shots just didn't happen - and this one did. Cool.

hugging the ground

I always think these shrubs are hugging to the ground to hold on because the wind can be amazing from almost every direction in my favourite hideaway. Caught in the fading sun of a wonderful day...
