cottage socks
Pattern: Cottage Slipper Socks
Yarn:
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
Needles:
US 13 - 9.0 mm
These socks are strictly house socks and nothing more. Silly me, made these with the intention of wearing them inside my wellies on cold days, but they are far too thick for that:( They’re perfect for around the house though…but they do tend to slouch down the leg making them a little annoying having to readjust them every so often.
If I were to make these again, I would use a better yarn and knit them in a smaller needle, in hopes that they fit and feel a little nicer.

Brilliant picture. These socks are just what I've been looking for as a first project...not too complicated looking, chunky and slouchy (love it that they fall down around the ankle....may even make them a little longer to pronounce the slouch)

I usually switch to a smaller needle for the rib, that makes it more tight and the socks stay on. Can you redo just the rib?

Has anyone tried these with 2 strands of yarn? Extra cozy. Will give it a try, always in need of house socks.
