This was such a strange looking fungus that I found at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park a few days ago. Some looked square, others triangular and the rest looked rather misshapen. Just have to go back when I can, to see what other treasures of the dense forest I can find :) As usual, I have no idea what it is called.

Could be any number of yellow fungus ... on is called the Yellow Brain Fungus, another is the Chicken-in-the-Woods Fungus (apparently it tastes like chicken). I would lean towards a form of Yellow Brain Fungus, but not good on fungus ID's at all. Thus I don't think it really is??
Excellent shot Anne!!

Not sure what it is called but you have all the angles covered (squares and triangles)............. Good shot Ann. With all the rain and wet this summer some of us here in the east are limited to toadstools, mushrooms and other fungus types.. Thanks for sharing this one.
