Built in the 1960's this building has been used to house many desperate families. Just its design says what it must be like to have lived there. Hundreds of people, many unemployed, forced to live on top of each other like battery chickens, and folks wonder that there is gang crime. Now we hear that having been more or less condemned to be demolished it will re-open its doors for the homeless. A roof and shelter will be good for many, but battery farming of humans brings its problems.

If you treat people like battery chickens you have to expect what may come of it. New housing has played a part in changing the face of Belfast, Liverpool and so many other towns and cities in turn this has had a knock on effect on crime reduction. Think on that Luton.

Looking through a century of history in Bedfordshire. This is the 'shed' as it is known that housed His Majesty's Airship R101 prior to her crash in Beauvais in France. I am told Airships have sheds and aeroplanes have hangars.

The massive shed is now undergoing a multi million pound refit.
