Far Out

Far Out

Hope you are all well, I have been very busy of late, with quite a bit of travelling for family and photgraphy too. I but will be catching up here on flickr over the next couple of days and hopefully uploading a little more frequently too

I was complaining to Noel Clegg in September about the fact I couldnt find any Piers or Jetties in Ireland. After searching through flickr, google and any other site I could find I eventually came across this one. It was a good 4 hr drive away and then some. I got lost quite a few times due to bad directions, then got stuck behind a hunt twice. I made it 10 mins after sunset and had two exposures with the 10 stop before switching to no filters. This is a combination of three exposures.

This is also the first time I have used the 5:4 format too, one that I have been trying to use for a while.

I have been very busy of late, but will be catching up here on flickr over the next couple of days

Into the light

Into the light

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

This is my first image from 2012 and my first visit to Dingle, a famous area of Kerry and Ireland, with plenty of possibilities so I shall be making the trip shortly.

Over the last few days I have had two offers of Gallery representation, one in New York and one in Skibbereen, Co Cork. So I am pretty chuffed with that and will definitely be working with the gallery in Skibbereen, New York I am not so sure about right now. Any advice on New York would be greatly appreciated, they work differently there.

Since my last upload I am now a proud father of a baby girl called Tilly. So I have been trawling through old photos in between changing nappies and general house work.

This one is from Swanage and was quite a difficult shot to get, as there were lots of people walking on to the pier which shook the tripod. I deleted all but one and only looked back at this last week. I am glad I did.
