I'm determined to get the egg to look like a heart. My first attempt
was more like a blob, but tasted good. So, I've used the cookie cutter
as a mold. It's not there yet as the toast was a little bit dark
underneath, but almost.
Make sure to butter the cookie cutter inside and out, run your knife around it on both sides after it's done cooking, and be careful - it gets hot!

i saw a commercial for mcdonald's egg mcmuffin, today. they break the egg into a ring to make it perfectly round. maybe, i should just do that with the heart so the bread doesn't burn? the hard part might be getting the cooked egg into the cutout in the toast, which is essential. i hope my cholesterol doesn't go sky high trying to get this just right ;)!

That sounds like a really good idea. And since the hole is from the same cookie cutter, I don't think it would be much of a problem to fit the egg heart into the bread. I'll stay tuned......... :)
