Oct 7, 2007, His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya. Rinpoche, the head of the Sakya Phuntsok Phodrang Palace. gives the precious Lam Dre, at Tharlam Monastery in Bodhanath, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dagchen Rinpoche is of the twenty-sixth generation Sakya-Khön lineage descended from Khön Gönchok Gyalpo. Rinpoche is regarded as an emanation of Manjushri as well as the rebirth of a Sakya Abbot from the Ngor sub-school, Ewam Luding Khenchen (The Great Abbot from the Luding family) Jyase Chökyi Nyima.

Tharlam Monastery was founded by His Eminence Dezhung Rinpoche III, Kunga Tenpay Nyima, in 1981. The original Tharlam Monastery located in Eastern Tibet was more than 500 years old when destroyed in 1959.
