toryporter (away... AGAIN!)'s photostream  

We took a bus tour our first full day visiting Iceland... this is looking the other way from one of our stops. I cannot recall the name of the place without referring to my notes which are who knows where! The flowers are the ever present Lupine we saw all over Sweden and Iceland.

The reason we stopped here was to watch and wait for a geyser to erupt that, as I recall, erupted about every 5 to 7 minutes. Some people were hiking (none visible here) to the top of this hill... I was wishing I had the time to join them but I noticed the path too late and we needed to head back to the bus.

These are a few of the objects from my heart collection and a thought that occurred to me today when I opened one of them and found a stash of coins (foreign currency from travels).

I really am having so much fun these days with iPhone photography and have been feeling guilty for not spending as much time on my "real" photos as I do with my iPhone photos.

I really like the way this HDR turned out but am not wild about the position of the fence. I do like the sky, though. It was nearing sunset when this was taken just outside Durango, Colardo.

I seem to be having trouble keeping up with posting on Flickr (and everywhere else for that matter). This is from a workshop in Colorado in September/October 2011. I cannot tell you the exact location but it was somewhere in the vicinity of Ouray or Durango and the aspens were just glorious! (The Photo Tour of Colorado was with John Barclay and Dan Sniffin who are just fabulous!

I will be visiting my most frequent followers later today or tomorrow for LONG overdue visits. As always, I appreciate your comments and invites and do eventually make my way around. As some of you have noticed, I'm no longer posting daily and find it difficult to spend as much time as I'd like on Flickr!

I personally find it hard to believe... this is straight out of the "camera" using the native Camera app on my iPhone 4... the only thing I did was crop it after putting it into Lightroom so I could use Lightroom to add tags and title. (the slight crop was necessary to get rid of the hat in the foreground that belonged to a fellow photographer who passed in front of me as I snapped the picture)
