*Despite being well-versed in color calibrations, conversions, color space / gamuts, I have never been able to produce an accurate version of this image for web as I see it on my calibrated display. The blue / magenta spectrum in sRGB just can't produce the subtle nuances that make this photo so vivid in AdobeRGB 1998 color space.
This photo was taken on March 12, 2006 in Gatineau, Quebec, CA, using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel.

Thanks for all your kind comments on this photo. I enjoyed searching the river bank for a serene composition. Once I found this particular subject, i studied it, shooting from different angles until I found the perspective that was most appealing (rather quickly as the light was fading!)

One of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. I have taken a lot of sunset photos and it takes perfect timing to captured the "purple" moment. The camera sees more purple than the naked eye. This would make a beautiful poster.
