“She was a beauty, black hair down to her knees.
My grandma had to braid her hair in four braids
To pin it up in a bun, for her to play
And go to school.
When I was a baby, she used to tie her braids together
And make me sit on it, to swing me
On a seesaw made of hair.
Not because she was my mother,
She was a real beauty.
She cut her hair when I was tree.
This is a picture of her in her late years:
