Time passes, spring comes again, the sun also rises...

Life begins again, slowly...

Soon I will visit your streams, my dear flickr friends.

I was sitting in the screenhouse today, with my binoculars around my neck and camera on my knee...we have a pair of cardinals and a phoebe, but no captures yet...they have to become used to me. So, I looked around for what was available and saw this tendril with a little bit of green just waiting for a warmer day...

This is a wonderful spotted turtle that I had in the classroom until it got too cold for her. She is overwintering in my kitchen, which has southern windows. She is quite a character and readily enagages visually. In the summer she will go back to the wild, but she is very much my captive until then....

This was not a planned capture - I was actually taking photos of the icicyles in the studio. It was dark and the reflection from the windows caught me pretty well. I surrendered to the situation and got this rather strange selfie...complete with dual image from the double-paned glass! I found it to be a tiny bit surreal...

One of the most recent snowstorms we have enjoyed...me from inside the house for the most part. It was really coming down!
