When light pollution is low the Milky Way really shines! This was taken near Encampment, Wyoming in a favorite dark skies location of mine.

Very nice! Shooting star or airplane?

I'm just digging these night shots Michael. I'm guessing you light painted the trees (based on the light falling off on the sides)?

    Thanks guys!

    , it's a shooting star- great eye!

, indeed. I blended down a light-painted layer for the foreground at lower opacity to keep it looking like night.

Did you make a wish? ") It's so cool! The amount of stars in the sky is incredible! Isn't it mind boggling how far we must go now to get away from light pollution!

You found a dark hole (metaphorically) to shoot the skies from Michael. The depth of darkness from this location really made these stars pop sensationally. The Milky Way is marvelous!
    Masterfully done!
