17/365: Chocolate

My daughter brought this to me from her vacation last month. It truly is the little things. She is the most thoughtful daughter. This gift reminded me of the hand picked flowers she used to bring me when she was a little girl. You just can't buy or put a price tag on thoughtfulness.

I refused to eat it until I photographed the heck out of it. I hope you can see the gold leaf painted on it.

This came from Alma's Chocolate's in Portland, OR. It's called "Rosemary Fleur de lys". Fresh rosemary infused cream ganache in a frenchi dark shell. The shell is hand gilded with 23k edible gold leaf. Web site for Alma's Chocolates: almachocolate.com/
