It is beautiful. Hard to believe it was a hospital.

Great composition and a perfect exposure. Wonderful textures, light and shadows.

lol, J. They're renovating and revitalizing it - it's going to be more beautiful when they're done than it is now. Personally, I'd rather see this old structure providing jobs, adding beauty and revenue to the community than abandoned and wrapped in chain link fence. Especially at the gateway to EDo and Downtown. And hey, the beds are going to be a hell of a lot more comfortable than they've been. The per night cost will be significantly lower than it was as a psych hospital, too. =]

The open house looked like it was a blast, and I really like the perspective on this shot!

Heh, i dint check the feed before posting my b&w of the stairs. ;-D Nice capture! like how you got the old sign in there.

Before it was a Pyschiatric Hospital It was one of many (one of the only still standing) TB sanatoriums.

Im happy to see it getting re used rather than knocked down, but in the act it looses its sense of identity.

Too bad. Excellent shot, however, the cracks up and down the rails really contribute to the tone.
