Sunset Panda and Accompanist

    From DC's PandaMania in 2004. Sunset Panda was created by the artist Jeff Huntington.

    This photo was referenced in the DCist Photo of the Day post on Thursday 4/27/2006. Because it was given a "mystery reference" where people had to click through to see what it was, it got about 300 hits from that one mention. Thanks DCist!

      Otavio, that is one impressive collection of PandaMania photos that you have. Yeah, I liked Sunset too -- very charming in it's (deceptive) simplicity.

      That is a terrific moment indeed, and the bear looks like it's been posterized, which plays a little game with the eye until you realize that it's a paint job.

      The frame is a little disjointed - next time, would you mind hovering in the air a few feet above the sidewalk to get shots like this? (Seriously, though, you might want to clone out those random leaves at the bottom, which aren't doing anyone any good.)

      Interesting image! I like the fact that the musician mirrors the pose of the bear. A few distracting elements however otherwise very good.
