nigella's banana bread made into minimuffins

I've made banana bread countless times, and have countless recipes for it too. This has got to be the best -- first recipe from Nigella Lawson's book "How to be a Domestic Goddess" I've tried.

An online version is here at her site.

Yay I'm the first to run home with the plate full of muffins!! :-)

They look really yummie. And deliciously soft... Hungry now. :-)

I can feel the taste from the photo. Beautiful light too. I really have to bake this myself, otherwise it's a torture to look at photos like this one!

Such a nice way to present the muffins. You're a genius, Mel!

Oh.. Nigella is so dangerous! The amount of butter she uses in everything she bakes! But that's why it tastes so good, isn't it?! :p

I have two of her books and I met her when she came to Toronto. I've baked a lot from them too. They're so dangerously gooood!

Luv the presentation. I was planning a batch of banana bread or muffins in the next few days using what's become "my recipe" thanx to you I'll try Nigella's recipe instead =)

Thanks all! To those who are going to try making it, you won't regret it I promise!

kasia: They are so light I had a total of four, one after the
      other *gulp*

tednmiki: Definitely smelled wonderful as they were baking -- and then as they were cooling!

Bonbon: YAY I love her too!!!

G diddy: You know I did another version of this right after, using chocolate chips instead of the raisins (so no soaking in brandy) and the nuts, it was good too.

kieronlo: They are very easy to make! Thank you :)

Lynn: I am humbled, thank you :)

Smaku: Hahaha she does like to do things the old-fashioned way, no low-fat stuff for her!

You MET her?! *faints* I think she is unbelievably sexy.

speedM: Did a variation of the recipe by substituting chocolate chips for the raisins+nuts (in equal weight) :)

      Tasteful presentation, and tasty muffins!

Nigella is my favorite TV chef! I absolutely adore her and her kitchen too~~~~

      JJ: Thanks!
G diddy (hehe): Truly! Have you ever had banana ice cream with bittersweet chocolate chunks in it? Yum!
Lulu & Philippe: Thanks! Oh yes she cooks in the prettiest kitchens, don't you think? I saw an ep of Forever Summer the other day and she was in this house by the sea... beautiful.

never mind the kitchen, how about those outfits? It's a miracle she never dirties her white linen shirts!

      Mel, she is sexy! ^^
I posted my pic of her as I was waiting in line:

I didn't really get to say much to her but still, I can say I met her. :p

Lynn: I know! And how she cooks in her silk robe, and keeping it spotless. The wonders of TV.

Smaku: You should have tried to get your photo taken with her! Cheesy I know hahahaha :P

    22. Smaku (81 months ago | reply)

Mel, cheesy yes, but wait till you see the pics in my new photoset, "My X seconds of fame"! haha... cheese galore, but that's OK because I really like cheese.

    23. chocolate monster mel (81 months ago | reply)

Smaku: I just did hahahaha, that's ok we can both have loads of cheese together. :P
