      Nice shot!

      Old shoes have so much character, compared with the blandness of new ones. And they can bring back memories of good times.

      I once spent 4 1/2 years building a sail boat and after I had pulled it out of my back yard I set up my old worn work shoes amid the debris left behind and tried to capture the feeling of completion and how much work it had been with a photo. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera at the time that could take a closeup, and I regret it still...

      I'll bet your One Stars could tell some interesting stories, also!

      i have these same shoes with paint stains and all (from working on a newspaper printing press once). mine are in oh so very slightly better condition ;)

      btw, aren't these converses? mine are converses ...

      yup - they're converse one-stars - pretty much my favorite shews.
