The Cape Hatteras light once stood alone on the beach on North Carolina's Outer Banks. Erosion forced its move a half mile inland. Today the tower stands in a wooded clearing. To capture the tower in its new environment, I crawled into some brush at the edge of the clearing to frame the tower.
