Ice Cream: half spun

Blended hand-carded roving of shetland wool from Stony Creek. Fourteen of these puffs make 7 oz.

After a long day of work, I allowed myself to read the new HP and spin a little. So I would read a chapter and then spin one puff. This allows me to prolong the suspense of the story and to get a proper rest for my pinching fingers.

    I'm starting chapter 8 now...

Hee hee, I wish! Nope, I don't think I can do that. I am considering working my way through the library's collection of books-on-tape, though.

Thanks, everyone! This shetland is a long wool and particularly easy to draft out thinly.

And, terrabellaspun, I do the bobbin-on-fluff photos because I'm trying to learn how to guess how the wool might look spun up. Some of these have been surprising.

Your new beautiful icecream yarn will be forever associated with HP - which not a bad thing at all. :)

I took a spinning class on Sunday (drop spindle) and one of the folks there was doing the HP on cd. I think are ~25 disks, which sounds crazy to me. But I purchased Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell on CD and it's about 30 disks. CRAZY, but nice to knit to.
