Kung Hei Fat Choi

Today saw Liverpool's main day for celebrating the coming Year of the Ox with the traditional lion and dragon dances together with accompanying firecrackers.

Thanks, guys. I almost filled two 8GB cards, but most had at least one big issue that I just wasn't happy with. I always find it a challenge to get decent shots when it's packed, it's difficult to position oneself due to limited space/freedom of movement, the subject matter is unpredictable, people/things get in your way.

This, I got by running up ahead of everyone else and literally throwing myself in front of the parade!

      All good fun! :O)

Great shot Will - fab angle to make the shot more dynamic and well done in beating the crowds!

Cool use of wide angle. Great stuff.

It's one of the two that climbed the poles to reach the money and lettuces. I also left a +1 stop exposure compensation on accidentally for a whole sequence of shots. *sigh*

We didn't get to go this year so I'm appreciating everyone else's shots all the more. This is great and I love the dynamism of the camera angle, and that you put more work in than everyone else to make sure you got it.

[ Seen in my contacts' photos. (?) ]
