Baby girl, Prantij, Mehsana District
A baby girl with the most wonderful eyes, met in a small tribal settlement in Northern Gujarat. I was determined to get some pictures before I left, and she woke up from her nap just in time, so her parents let me take a stack of pictures before I had to run for the jeep.
A certain amount of luck on the expression - babies will look everywhere but at you when you want them to, and the camera's focusing speeds leaves a lot to be desired, so manual focusing is deployed at times like these.

Stunning shot! The focus is perfect. Great job! I just shot a very wiggly baby myself and get very few in focus shots. I don't even know if I would have gotten much in manual, either. At 10 months old, she just needed to move!! But, this shot does inspire me! Thank you for sharing!
