- ? crop; you're correct re dead petal, and would be better rotated 90 degrees to left ? - thornypup
Spring sunshine
In our back garden last weekend. Square crop from the original, a bit of Levels, mild sharpen. Should have thought to remove the dead petal from the upper right before shooting :-(

Rose - thank you! I think a bit of messing around in PS to get rid of that dead petal might be in order when I get chance...

The Dof is just right in this - for me anyway. Yeah, agree that cropping out some of the dead flower would help. J. :)

Rachel, John - thanks both!

Wow -- a real eye-popper! Love that intense color against the dark background. I'd probably clone out the dead stuff unless I was trying to say something by leaving it in, but in that case I might want just an old/new pair, and not the two freshies.
Beautiful Spring shot, Andy!

Arrrr, spring. Such a wonderful time of year. :) I just wish it would get a bit more mild here too :)) Great colours

Pete, Aaron - thank you both! I probably will have a go at cloning out the dead stuff, later on (only just got my copy of Elements so still learning there!).
