Molly.. It's Not often I get a pic from the opposite bank. She's such a lovely boat, there are no straight lines on her. every plate of steel has been rolled both width and length ways.
Shes good on the eyes, painted in subdued tones so she fits in with the environment. Canal boat's typical colour pallet. is the primary colour pallet which is a bit hard on the eyes for me.

This image compares the width of the Contax AX top and the Yashica FXD . The FXD has a standard 35mm depth, while the Contax is Wide to allow for the 10mm internal focusing.

Contax Ax - Yashica FXD.
Hi all, hope you are all well. Ive been wanting to do this pic for some time. The cameras are the Contax AX at the rear of the image. To the left is the Yashica Fxd, and a Minolta Himatic 7 to the front.
The Contax is a interesting beast, and a beast it is, weighing in at a kilogram, less lens. What this camera gives you autofocus on manual focus lenses ! It achives this by moving the whole prism and film plane assembly forward and back to achive the focus point.
An added bonus is that it turns your lens in to close focus optic. The movement gives you a built in 10mm extension, cool !
The Yashica is my new 35 quid camera, nice light and tiny compared with the contax, with the 45mm its almost a compact. The 45mm Tessar is a lovely lens. Not as sharp as the 50mm Planar wide open, but stopped down its good, very good but it has all the Zeiss hallmarks. ( The Planar mounted on the Contax AX)
The leatheret covering I replaced with velcro using the soft side. Most comfortable covering ive ever come across on a camera. Note : Velcro comes in 2" wide stripst
The Minolta is there for composition and to illustrate size differences.
