"Lothlorien" in 3D

    This is a 3D Stereoscopic view of the forest near to where scenes set in 'Lothlorien' were filmed for the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Paradise, near Glenorchy, South Island, New Zealand.

      Very nice. The depth effect goes a long way back on this. Do you remember if the spacing was much wider than an is typical for eyes?

      I can't remember - I mostly just try to take a little step to the left or right after taking the first shot - only rarely ( for distant views ) would I take a bigger step to accentuate the 3D. The groundcover here was very mossy & sponge-like - an amazing place to see.

      Your images are actually backward. You have the right image on the right and it should be on the left. At least for cross eye viewing.

      No - my image is the right way round - for Parallel viewing - as stated in my tags.
      'Cross-Eyed-Viewing' is not the only way to see a stereo image.
      'Parallel-Viewing' is actually easier on the eyes too.

      I see,, I just looked in your description as to which type of viewing it was and I didn't see it. I am unable to parallel view. I've become very comfortable with cross eyed viewing.
