Newholme Gardens celebrates 20th anniversary

Bromford Support, which provides specialist support to a range of communities across the Midlands, is celebrating 20 years of supporting over 55’s at it’s Newholme Gardens scheme in Solihull.

The sheltered scheme, based on New Road, was opened on the 19th April 1993 to provide independent living to older people in the area. To celebrate the double decade milestone, Bromford hosted a special celebration at the scheme on the 26th April.

The event was officially opened by Mayor Cllr Ken Hawkins at 1pm with the unveiling of a new commemorative plaque at the scheme. The day also saw an eclectic mix of entertainment and activities including performances from an Elvis impersonator, a visiting herd of ponies and a dancing dog.
