"Many people spend their entire life trying to blend in with the crowd…others, well…they don’t. This is me, Matt Harris, making my mark on this world."
Just started Advanced Photo today and the project we are working on is Self-Portraits. The inspiration behind this photo comes from the music video "Somebody that I Used to Know" by Gotye. I loved the way they did the painting of Goyte and thought that it would be a neat idea for a self portrait.
Determined, my sister and I painted the background with multiple colors. The next day, we painted myself and only made triangles throughout the picture. Next, I lied down on the poster (background) and had my tripod set up directly over me and inverted so that my camera could face downwards. I used my wired remote to take this. Next, I dropped it into paint.net and did some minor-ish adjustments to get this as a result. The biggest adjustment I made was converting the background to black and white while keeping myself in color.
Please, let me know what you think! Any feedback is appreciated!
