It´s still 1938 in London? Not really, time goes fast!

    4. corpusrossus (74 months ago | reply)

Very nice, staticness of the Big Ben against the movement of traffic, I love it!

Love the nightshot. It shows the speed of life in a huge city like London.

Stunning capture of a beautiful landmark. You get around don't you?! ;-)

@Michael: A tourist asked me to take his photo with Big Ben in the background. I did, and loved the effect, so I copied it. Not an original idea at all! @Mietzi: London has an abundance of tradition; @Corpus: Thank you. I didn't like the mass of people on the right, I have some photos with just silhouettes which look great. However, I was too lazy to wait for another double deck bus.

@Lucie: I like motion and movement shots. I take them, but I usually don't post them, maybe I will do a few more; @Chris: Thanks, nice to see you back and around; @Dham: Ah, I was working with to shorten my exposure time to balance people silhouettes, motion of the bus, and also building light. Thanks, if I wasn't racing around Londontown, this one would have some better definition; @Chaseism: Thanks.

@Serena: Very nice to see you again. I really like your breadth of subjects- artistic frames, portraits, motion, and stills. @Lisa: Ah, the city is extremely big! @Molly: I don't think any girls I know have ever said that I get around ;)

Love this! Was that light a bus?! Great photo!

    14. racingsquirrel (74 months ago | reply)

@Ian: A modern red double deck autobus.

How we miss the old fashioned London Red Bus!

    17. emanuela franchini (74 months ago | reply)

this looks familiar but somehow even more fascinating...
      Great London capture!

    18. racingsquirrel (74 months ago | reply)

@Christiane: Aww, thanks. I had a really tough time balancing my timing between the building light, motion, and the people silhouette capture. I didn't get that last element here quite right; @Ian: Ahh, the old fashioned bus is the best. So sad about its demise; @Flea: I am happy to provide a fresh look at a frequently photographed tourist object.

@Kentickian: Thank you. Actually my favorite is how the Parliament lighting interacts with the bus lighting; @Jace: Thank you, I liked it; @Arny: When will you go? I need to visit island one more time before I leave here; @Patric8k: Thanks!

Blimey, you were speeding mate!! (No wonder, rs missed the bus!)

ALL CHANGE or time to change shift and back to depot time for the driver!

Nice motion/light shot, rs. (Was that a star filter for the light on the right?)

JJ - you have new icon! Where's the cute boy now?!

@Marina: He probably lives in the bus; @S'Murf: I am working on combining different elements, thanks; @Mariana: I can't wait to take some Blue Line shots! @Elitsa: Thanks; @Megan: Thanks for stopping in, love your portrait work; @Wessel: The crawling babies are very unusual in the your last shoot. Thanks for the comment.

@JC: I hate the autobus, I try and take the train or metro when possible; @Gert: Indeed, waiting for your S-Bahn shots in DUS; @Valleia: Nice to see you again! @Astrid: Bored in Oslo, so getting out a little helps. I can't wait to see the travelling wig! @Ieva: I usually work at night because work is during the day. I was lucky to have taken the evening photos, because the next day was rain.

I could have done a better job with the silhouettes if I had waited a little longer, I think; @Keith: Your icon and mine look frighteningly similar.
