I agree! This is really wonderful! The detail is amazing and I really like the DoF. Only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the visible line where the field around the eyeball was brightened. It would be worth putting a little more work into making that less apparent. Still, it is a very wonderful shot andas such I'm making it my second selection of the week, so...

re: the line around the eyeball... The only editting I did (besides cropping) was to set a white and black point... the line you see is actually her eyelid... Here is the original uncropped unedited shot:

More than just the great detail of the eye (mascara, color flecks) I like the detail of the scene the eye is seeing. The pool and bright blue sky. This photo shows that the eyes truly are the windows of the world. :)

good shot but there are a few little distracting things - a larger focus range would be fine, the upper bright lid is somehow strange and the mascara is too plump.

Eyes don't feel quite at home here in deleteme. The problem is, there is so many shots of eyes, that if the photo not 100% perfect it's not good.
