10. Close up of the black rocks
OK, here I'm not sure. These were sitting on the top of one of the layers of Narrabeen sandstone. I'm wondering if they're broken basaltic lava - pahoehoe perhaps - eroded from somewhere up the New England region and dropped as one of the conglomerate layers. Ideas? Theories? Time for me to hand in my Amateur Geologist's badge?
