Moonlit Stonehenge under Milky way

    Newer Older

This is a full-size, astronomically-aligned replica of the more famous English Stonehenge. Located near Maryhill, WA it was built as a memorial to those who died in World War I. Although dedicated in 1918, the memorial wasn’t completed until 1930. The intension of the Stonehenge replica was to express that modern warfare was a form of needless human sacrifice.

This place is known for its clear night sky and low light pollution. I went there for taking startrails shots, but ended up taking picture of milky way because it was looking too cool.

I would select the building and correct for perspective. Light painting the inside would also be cool.
