Sew the little tube and the lower part of the cut sock. You might want to sew the edges of the thumb holes so that the yarn doesn't fray.

Roll the middle part of the cut sock inside out and sew the edges to have a little tube of cloth (left). Roll inside out again (right).

Make sure you remove all air bubbles after you glue. You can use a thick ruler or this device, especially designed to remove nasty air bubbles.
