Civilization, Food
I've noticed that my photos have taken a more journalistic mood. I like it. I haven't dealt with color in the same manner as I've used to. Before I was seeing how far I can push the contrast, but now I am more careful.
For example, in this photo I wanted to create a sense of sterility and lifelessness, but while maintaining a little bit of life via the bits of ingredients around the kitchen and from a red light that is warming up the stack of plates in the middle of the composition.
There's a little too much blue if you ask me.
Also, I want to capture things that are inherent in civilization, such as food preparation. Sometimes if we just stop to think about our basic needs and processes, then the things that we don't need (and are consequently causing us much stress) will become apparent.
