First time I hear of the "Orton
Technique" but I'm pretty new to this.
The reason I mentioned luminance was because
when I was fiddling with Adobe Lightroom and
added Luminance to the blues I sort of had a
similar affect. Although yours is much more
balanced and controlled.
Thanks, I saw the link last night right
before I went to bed.....seems pretty
straightforward....I haven't tried it yet but
I will as soon as I take a good landscape
shot.

This is a very nice landscape shot. Did you use luminance for the noise in the blues?

Thanks for your comments. No luminance was used. It was the "Orton technique" - exposure changed in layers, blurred, and some faux film grain added
