      Thanks Mark, you know by now how excited I was with this place and esp. that bathroom they added on.


      Thanks Wes; I was so excited when I found this place as I don't stumble across that many places this nice in VA (which still have almost 100% of their "pieces" still intact inside).

      Well done with the image and processing! Always wonder how much firewood that it needed to warm so much. Looks like it has potential for 6 fireplaces in there.

      Thank you. There were 8 fireplaces that I found and I suspect I could've missed one. I'm not sure I can even fathom the amount of wood it would require, esp. considering how tall the ceilings were. But many of these places, this one too I suspect, were the main house on hundreds if not a thousand or more acres so there was & is wood everywhere. I'm just happy I don't have to chop it.

      I made the mistake of having to burn wood for three years and its a part time job of its own. Always a hassle. We have chainsaws and trucks! They had horses and handsaws!
