Came home from the Arizona Department of Revenue to get another huge packet of bills from the Homeowners Association today. This is just absolutely stunning, on one lot I owe $55,076.39 (I have 9-others with this amount) on the other I owe $13,008.89 (not sure how many of these there are) but they added interest twice (by mistake). There's twice as many pages as usual because they included separate pages for the assessments. I don't remember them ever doing this. They accidently gave me about ten bills for other poor souls in the Subdivision. Now I'm going to have to go in there, get a budget for the Master HOA and return them.

The assessments are for improvements like sewers, roads, electric, water. Unit 5 has everything but roads. Lots in Units 7, 9 & 10 are virgin -- no dirt upset but were assessed for building a 2-mile water line, water storage tank and improvements for Camino Del Toro. A developer told us at one of the HOA meetings that we were being charged too much for the water-line and other improvements.

Map link shows the location of the HOA Subdivision. Note that most of the land is vacant. Units 2 & 5 are north of Camino Del Toro; Units 7, 8, 9 & 10 are in the Section south. Unit 6 (NE in the Section) is not in an HOA -- they are 1-acre lots, some in Unit 7 are one-acre lots. The Google map is much newer, shows more houses in Units 2 & 8
