Royal Turquoise
Dedicated to my friend Laurie, whose favorite color is turquoise.
Another image of a magnificent art glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly, seen at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. This shot was suggested by my son Drew, who asked me to crouch down low and shoot up. I was astonished that he has somehow learned to see as a photographer sees. Even though he does not himself take photos! It was a grand idea and the resulting colors and forms were far better this time than in previous attempts to capture this particular hanging sculpture.

What an excellent subject and texture. I love all the intertwining swoops, curves ans swirls. I would also have shot closeup to get an abstract detail as well.
