Dedicated in 1962 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel was built by Callaway Gardens' co-founder Cason Callaway, in memory of his mother.
The picturesque little church is set amidst the Georgia pines on the shores of Falls Creek Lake. Constructed of fieldstone quartz and other natural materials, the building was designed in the likeness of a 16th-century Gothic chapel. Inside, six stained glass windows depict Southern forests in a progression of seasons.
Since its opening, many brides have chosen the Chapel as the site for their weddings. It is a beautiful place for small ceremonies.
