Winged souls, southwards

No wonder there used to be old myths of the birds'home where they lived all the harsh winter, somewhere up in the cloud castles; a place with no hunger and violence.

A repeating theme in finnish an probably in the songs of other places too: I'd like to join you, but I cannot fly.

The analogy of birds and souls is very old and well spread among earth's cultures.
