Grass

Grass

"I am gathering words. For the winter days are long and many, and we'll run out of things to say."
- Frederick, by Leo Lionni

Saw this photo in my archive from 3 years ago and thought of that quote.

It is nice to be reminded of warm summer evenings spent wandering in Toronto's parks, with a camera, no set destination or purpose other than to be outside with everyone else enjoying the light, the smell of fresh cut grass, and the drone of cicadas.

In Italian, to go for a walk even sounds beautiful: "Andare a spesso."

I think if I go back with a tripod there will be some interesting photos to be made.
