Every year my Christmas gift is going to the Santa brunch at the historical hotel downtown where we were engaged. We started this tradition back in 2004 and I love it. We go with some of my best friends and their families and each year it is more fun (and more kids) than the last. It is one of my most favorite days of the year.
The kids indulge me for about ten minutes of wondering around and checking out all the decorations in the beautiful ballrooms. We talk about all the grand parities that have been held there over the past 100+ years and I can usually talk them into a Christmas dance. This is from 2005.
I save the Raw file of every image I really like. Especially when I can't get them to look like I want in my head. The advancements in post production improve so drastically every year. I figure in 20 years when I finally have time, I'm going to put together a coffee table type book of my favorite Christmas images from their childhood.
