LUCY ASHTON and WAVERLEY
The two Clyde paddle steamers in Bowling Harbour in 1948. LUCY ASHTON was built in 1888 and was withdrawn in 1949. WAVERLEY is, of course, with us to the present day. The paddlers' funnels have just been painted in BTC [British Railways] yellow....
