"Migrants thrive on mine boom as Aussies lose jobs"- The Australian, 13/1/2012
The Australian with its usual brand of so called journalism. Because migrants aren't Australian even if they are citizens. Hope those ungrateful bastards suffer when all the skilled migrants leave and there are no doctors engineers nurses taxis or other jobs
You can read clearly in the text of the article that they couldn't find enough "Australian born" people to fill the jobs in the *mining industry* so had to hire people from overseas. The jobs lost in the rest of the country are in *other industries*. So either the Australian born people were not qualified or didn't even bother applying for those jobs in the first place.
Terrible poor quality journalism. Don't get me started on their spelling errors.
