The Land Between

The Land Between

I live in the West End of Vancouver, which has the second highest population density in North America. Walking through my neighborhood I became interested in the small plots of land inbetween apartments and high rises, and decided to do a photo series showing usage of 'the land between' buildings. These are all three-shot HDR images.

Urban Forest

Urban Forest

Stopped at a traffic light on Burrard, at Nelson, I noticed this stand of trees, with the Wall Centre in the background...

'When I see birches bend to left and right
Across the lines of straighter darker trees,
I like to think some boy's been swinging them....
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches."
