I saw a picture of this place years ago, and it changed my view of Zion National Park. I've always though Zion was a bit boring, but I vowed to come visit this location one day.
Turns out, first I needed a backcountry hiking permit, which is limited to 50 people a day. Then there's the hike. 10 miles of technical climbing, or a 6 mile round trip hike. I went with the easier route. It still took me 6 hours to do the hike though.
While we were shooting the Subway itself, a married couple walked in. The wife told us that they are celebrating her husband's 76th birthday, and requested that we all sing happy birthday to him. So, here's to you Harry, happy birthday! I wish I could be able to complete this hike when I'm 76 years old too.
