365 Color--Day 8--January: Purple

I'm a Reading Buddy once a week with two first-graders at our local Catholic school. We also do a craft together. Today, I was telling them about my "purple project" and this little guy decided to be helpful. He lined up his purple crayons and then waited for me to snap a picture. How could I resist?

365 Color--Day 7--January: Purple

That was the theme for this week's Picture This! assignment, and it was supposed to be a self-portrait.

During the day, and in the evening, when I have the free time, I like to crochet prayer shawls. The idea is to pray and stitch for whoever will eventually receive it, for whatever their needs might be. Our Prayer Shawl Ministry at church uses donated yarn, so we take what we get it. For this shawl, I'm using white and various shades of gray, in random stripes, using a shell stitch.

I put the camera on a tripod, and used a remote with a two-second delay so I'd have time to get my hand in place.

I've ice-fished with no ice shanty, and it's the COLD way to do it! Spotted these guys on Sturgeon Bay while we were walking Lady today.

For my One a Day Winter set, which is a project to ensure that I take photos every day. :-)
