Nice... the Tower must be in the cabinet thing at the end of the desk... It's real slick, that's for sure!

How hard was that to get the wires routed like that? I'm thinking of doing the same thing with a 37" HD LCD here relatively soon... Don't want all the Component and DVI cables strewn about.

  5. OndraSoukup (74 months ago | reply)

With this Apple Screen it's damn easy. It has just one wire. One wire that ends up as power, DVI, usb and firewire...

@ OndraSoukup: Oh, how lovely small is the mac universe! Aren't you the guy who localizes Chax?

    Is that gift wrap? Haha

there is no tower. you can see in another pic the DVI from the monitor creeping up from the desk (you can see it forms the miniscule triangle to the right of the MacBook here. Very clean, very nice.
Oh, and Ondra, the original Apple LCDs used ADC with power in a single cord, these are DVI and have a separate power adapter.

    Amazing, just amazing...

  11. OndraSoukup (74 months ago | reply)

I meant single cable running to the screen, it splits up just at the end...
Yes, I localize Chax, I need to work on 1.4.1... :)

    Simply incredible.
My brother (pilot/mechanic) would kill for one of these.
Of course, he could probably tell me what airplane it came from :-/

It's too neat!!!!! My desk usually has no fewer than two computers and equipment to sync my phone and make movies and photos.

Only upperlevel management has a desk so clean.. ha ha maybe that is how he affords the setup.. he he

Holy crap, nice desk! How did you make it, with the glowing and the punched holes in the metal and the whatnot... it looks awesome.

  17. jmholloway (74 months ago | reply)

nicely done. is the laptop connected to the screen or is it a desktop?

  18. Ren Patel [deleted] (74 months ago | reply)

people like you make me sick... how do you afford this nonsense???

  19. Hunter_Walker (74 months ago | reply)

    This is frickin' solid.

The real question is, is this real or rendered? That plastic partition in the front looks fake. No caustics on the floor, and the edges are too smooth and bright. Also, there's no light source for the red glow.

  21. mzx (74 months ago | reply)

There is no tower or cables(except for the power cable, my guess is the ac outlet is on wall behind display)! The computer display on the wall is not just a display, it's the whole computer, cpu and all! It's an iMac with wireless keyboard and mouse. Macs are cool, huh people?

  22. tii2609 (74 months ago | reply)

I agree with midnightbrewer, the photo is rendered. The glass door on the left gives it away. However it still looks amazing!

  23. yummyfbunny (74 months ago | reply)

    That's hot. :)

  24. adamrice (74 months ago | reply)

@mzx: it is not an iMac. It's an Apple monitor.

That's an awful lot of plexiglass if it is real, must have cost a fortune (not to mention been terrible on the back carrying it in!). Friggin' sweet looking none the less.
