Crocheted Flower - Carnation
Carnations are often associated with fascination, distinction and love. They are the official flowers of Mother's Day. Red carnations are the state flowers of Ohio, USA.
You can make these flowers with short stalks or with long stalks. I've included instructions for both types.
Add a pinback and turn it into a brooch or lapel pin. Or you can attach a carnation onto your gift wrap for added attractiveness. These flowers can be crocheted very quickly and are excellent as fund-raising projects.
The diameter of the flower is about 2.5 inches (6.4cm) and its length is about 3.5 inches (8.9cm)
