Remake of the Afghan Girl by Steve McCurry

Remake of the Afghan Girl by Steve McCurry

The clothing of the Afghan girl is obviously of religious significance and some people may suggest that it relates to imprisonment. We are very quick in judging other peoples' cultures and ways of life while some times we fail to see our own dogmatic faiths. Could fashion be seen as a religious imprisonment of our modern society?

The magazine cloth was created piece by piece from several different fashion magazine pages, the lightning is natural and photoshop was used to enhance specific features and make the image more interesting.
