'Elephant apple' flower

    Newer Older

    Dillenia indica (Elephant apple)
Native to S. Asia (India,Vietnam, south through Thailand to Malaysia and Indonesia)
Note: Web sources say the flower is 15cm. It seems exaggerated - compare with bee here. They are half of that size, nevertheless they are very decorative and fragrant, but hide inside the crown.
